Introduction to Menu Mapping
Note: This article is only applicable for customers using a menu sourced from a POS System whose menu cannot be imported directly into Menu Editor. If you are unsure if your menu requires Menu Mapping, please reach out to your onboarding specialist.
What is Menu Mapping?
Menu Mapping matches your delivery app items and modifiers with the corresponding items and modifiers from your POS system. For example, when a customer orders the “Baja Fish Tacos” from DoorDash, the Menu Mapping below will tell Cuboh how to enter that item into your POS.
Delivery App items are associated by name, while POS items are associated by both name and POS ID. This means that our system will map the name of an item on your Delivery App menu to the name and unique ID of its POS match, and will use this information to automatically inject orders into your POS.
To view your Menu Mapping, log into the new Dashboard and under your Location view, navigate to Menu > Menu Editor.
You can review and update your Menu Mapping at any time. This gives you the visibility to ensure your menus are error-free, and the freedom to make changes when you need them.
A dedicated Cuboh Onboarding Specialist will work with you to ensure your menus are mapped correctly and that you’re set up for a successful launch. If you’d like to review Menu Mapping yourself, please feel free to browse the resources below.
