Setting up your Clover Integration:

The integration process with Clover is very straightforward. Follow the steps below when you’re ready to get started:

  1. On the ChowNow Dashboard, navigate to Integrations → Point of Sale → Clover.
  2. You will then be redirected to Clover and you will see a prompt to approve the integration.
  3. You will be directed back to the ChowNow Dashboard once you hit ‘Submit’.

Once you’ve completed the initial set-up, please respond to your Onboarding Specialist to let them know you’ve completed the steps above.

Preparing your Clover system to go live:

Please ensure these settings have been configured before going live with ChowNow.

App-specific Tender Types in Clover

Your Clover system will need a unique tender type for each ordering partner you plan on integrating. Please create one tender for every platform you currently use – for example, one called “UberEats”, one called “DoorDash”, and so forth.

​To create new Tender Types on Clover:

  1. Log into your Clover account (https://www.clover.com/dashboard)
  2. On the sidebar, click on “Account and Setup”
  3. Under Transactions, click on “Payments”
  4. Click on “Add Tender”, and name it after one of your platforms, (for example: “GrubHub”)
  5. Click on Save.
  6. Repeat for each ordering platform you currently use.

An Order Type in Clover

Your Clover system will need an order type to assign ChowNow orders to – for example, one called “Delivery”, or an individual order type for each app, such as “UberEats”, “DoorDash”, and so forth.

A “ChowNow” Employee in Clover

Create a new Employee in your POS, named “ChowNow”. This will be the employee responsible for entering all of your online orders into your POS.

Will I be able to access my entire POS Menu?

Yes, you will be able to access your entire Clover Menu from the ChowNow Dashboard after successfully completing the integration process.

Can I apply payment manually instead of ChowNow doing it automatically?

Yes, this can be configured by your ChowNow Onboarding Specialist upon request.

Can I add a discount to all of the orders that ChowNow enters?

Yes, this can also be configured by your ChowNow Onboarding Specialist upon request.
