Starting on Monday, July 20, 2020, ChowNow will roll out a Tablet software update that will create a new and improved Curbside pickup experience for both your staff and your guests.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Curbside will now be labeled as a separate order type, just like pickup and delivery.
  • On your Tablet’s order list you’ll be able to easily parse through different order types.

You’ll be able to easily see your customers’ vehicle information towards the top of every Curbside order detail page. If you use a receipt printer to print out your ChowNow orders, you can expect a similar layout.

Your Admin Dashboard orders, disbursement reports, and order emails will all include Curbside as the order type, making reviewing easy.

This Curbside update also streamlines the experience for your guests. When customers place orders through your website or through ChowNow’s site, they will see Curbside as a separate ordering option alongside pickup and delivery (if applicable).

When a diner begins a Curbside order, they will need to choose their vehicle type and color.

After placing a Curbside order, the confirmation page will have clear instructions. For now, we’re showing a generic message, “Please call the restaurant upon arrival to receive your order.” In the future, these instructions will be customizable.

Currently, this new Curbside experience is not available for Food Ordering with Google, Yelp Ordering, the ChowNow app, or your branded mobile apps. In these places, your customers must add Curbside as a menu item to their orders and provide information about their vehicles in the Special Instructions box.
