Note: This article is only applicable for customers using a menu sourced from a POS System whose menu cannot be imported directly into Menu Editor. If you are unsure if your menu requires Menu Mapping, please reach out to your onboarding specialist.

Main Item Mapping and Review

You will first run an Automatic Menu Match. The  Automatic Menu Match maps your Delivery App items to your POS Menu automatically, based on how similar the name and price of the items are between your platforms. Confidence Scores act as a marker of Cuboh’s ability to successfully match your menu for you.

If the names of your menu items are different on your apps and your POS, Cuboh is still able to match these items – but you’ll want to review them to make sure Cuboh properly understands the differences in your menu.

To review these items as quickly as possible, it’s best to sort your items from Lowest-to-Highest Confidence, which you can do by double-clicking the sort triangle beside “Confidence”. This will show you the areas that don’t match up between your Apps and POS menus.

We also recommend expanding your page to 100 items per page by selecting the option at the bottom of the screen – as seen below.

When auto-matching, Cuboh will display its highest-confidence matches first by default. Sorting for low-confidence matches will bring up the matches Cuboh was least-confident in making, so it is common to see some incorrect or blank matches here. If you see an item that is mapped incorrectly, you can follow these steps to correct the mapping:

  1. Select the item
  2. Use the Lower Search Bar to search for the Name of that item as it’s written in your POS.
  3. Select the correct option from the drop-down list, and then hit Map Items.
  4. If you are unable to find the correct item in this search bar, please first ensure that the item does in fact exist in your POS. If you need to add the item, you can make the addition to your POS and pull it back to Cuboh by clicking “Synchronize Menus”.

Once you’ve reviewed all of your main item mapping for accuracy, you’re ready to move on to mapping your modifiers. Please see this article, or connect with your Onboarding Specialist for next steps!
