How to Submit Support Requests from Your ChowNow Tablet

We’re making it even easier for you to get help from ChowNow when you need it. Your team can now submit requests and questions to ChowNow Support right from your ChowNow tablet — the same iPad you use to process incoming to-go orders!

Here’s how:
Start by turning on your ChowNow tablet. From the Home screen, click on the red ChowNow icon, log in with your credentials, and choose your location.

There are two areas where you can click to get help: from a customer’s completed order at the top right corner, or from the main menu at the top left corner.


Completed Orders

For support requests related to a customer’s previously placed order, click on the triangle icon at the top right corner of the screen and select Completed Orders. Click on the completed customer order that you have a question about. You’ll see four options to choose from: Full Refund Partial Refund Discount / Promo Other Request For support requests related to a customer’s previously placed order, click on the triangle icon at the top right corner of the screen and select Completed Orders.

  1. Full Refund
  2. Partial Refund
  3. Discount / Promo
  4. Other Request
Completed Order - Full Refund 1. Full Refund
Select Full Refund to issue a full reimbursement. Just enter your name to authorize and tap “Submit Refund”.
Completed Order - Partial Refund, Item 2. Partial Refund

  1. Select Refund items to refund specific items from the customer’s order, or to change quantities.
    • Click the red “x” to strike out an item and have it refunded.
    • Click the green “+” to bring that item back.
    • For multiple items, you can adjust the quantity by typing the new number in the box to the left. The number you enter will be the quantity remaining on the customer’s bill.
  2. Select Refund Amount to refund a dollar amount from the customer’s order

Choose to discount the customer’s order total by dollar amount, or by percentage. This is a nifty tool to match a discount promotion the customer couldn’t use, or to calculate a percentage refund.

Submit any other questions or issues regarding a customer’s order, and the ChowNow Support team will get right back to you.

Note that each of these options require you to enter your name as authorization. This helps us keep record in case follow-up is needed.


Main Menu

  For support requests around hardware, menu updates, or schedule changes, click on the three horizontal stripes at the top left corner of the screen to access the Main Menu.
Click on the main menu icon and select from the following three options:

  1. Request Support
  2. Change Menu
  3. Change Schedule

 1. Request Support

  1. Select Hardware Support to submit any issues or questions related to your ChowNow tablet, Dashboard, or printer.
  2. Select General Support to submit any general issues or questions and the ChowNow Support team will get right back to you.

 2. Change Menu

  1. Select Remove / Restore Menu Item to 86 and restore items from your menu. Be sure to include a description and a timeframe when removing an item from your menu.
  2. Select Update Menu if there are standard changes to be made to your menu.
  3. Select Other Menu to submit any other questions or issues regarding your menu and the ChowNow Support team will get right back to you.

3. Change Schedule

  1. Select Close Temporarily to schedule a temporary closure for your to-go business (both pickup and delivery), or just for your delivery service. Be sure to specify the timeframe that you’ll be closed.
  2. Select Update Hours to update your regular hours of operation.
